You don't have to say a word...He Knows!

Love that God knows my heart. I don't have to make a big fuss, scream or shout but He sees my desires and if I seek him first above all then he will give me the desires of my heart. (According to His will) So many things have happened in the past few weeks that I didn't ask for but it was a desire of my heart and when they happened this scripture immediately came to mind "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33 NIV)" God desires our heart and mind! To have this happen we must spend DAILY time with Him so that we can identify Him in our spirit versus our flesh. It's hard to choose Him believe me I don't always do the right thing but each day and with each choice that we make we get a ill bit stronger! I just would like to encourage u today to seek God in all things! God has and is changing me bringing people in and out of my life and showing His might works and I'm a just sitting back and trying to enjoy the ride I must admit it gets hard at times. Lol

PS PLEASE pay attention to that uncomfortable feeling that may come. That could be the Holy Spirit trying to warn u against something. If I don't have peace don't do it. Seek God and if its His will it will happen.

Dont Pick at it!

Today at work my hand touched my face, only to notice that I had a pimple coming in. My first thought was to pick at it. But then something else came to mind saying no dont pick at it, that will only make it larger. So I stopped and continued with my work.

That is the same action that we all need to take when dealing with any issue that we may have in life. DONT PICK AT IT! Because if we do, that issue that we continue to give more and more attention will only become larger. If we continue on with our daily activities and have faith we will look up one day and that minor "pimple" will have disappeared.

So the next time you have a pimple (issue), make up your mind to not pick at it.

Trust issues

Another of my notes to self from the notepad of my iPhone....

So yeah I have trust issues. So what. Forgive me if sometimes I want to look through your phone, check your facebook and twitter, log into your email. But I have been hurt time and time again and sometimes when things don't go my way and lil thoughts come in my mind or a lil pain comes inside that makes me think, damn not this again. Who's to say you won't cheat, by the girl a bear or even invite her over because u thought it was ok. So what I have trust issues, my issues...damn I need a tissue to suck up all of the tears and just deal with my issues.

Plans for me....

This is another note from my phone. Please excuse any errors as this is only a raw and somewhat transparent post of something that came off the top of my head… Enjoy!

The plans you have for me...

Create worry. I often wonder when, where, how.

But I'm often reminded to stand on Your promises.

To know that I know, that I know that what You say in Your word are honest and true.

As a man thinkth then so is he.

So I often act on my emotions instead of the promises that Your word reminds me of. The devil creeps in and tells me that I will be single forever…why can’t I be in a relationship like everyone around me…I will never have my own children and that I will only be able to adopt( Which I really want to do regardless, however I want to experience the amazing feeling of my own child growing inside of me). Sometimes he (the devil) creeps in saying, I’m not doing a good job at work and I’m going be fired tomorrow and fear creeps in at night nervous that someone will break into my apartment. Why can't I have clear skin like so and so, calves like this one of gluts like her!

BUT GOD! I am made in the image of god! Beautifully and wonderfully made.  When the devil attacks, I attack back with the word and promises of God! Sometimes, shoot, a lot of times, I fail but God's grace and mercies are new every morning and for that I am thankful. How awesome is that?!?

Let me tell you not living by your emotions is one of the hardest things to NOT do and takes a lot of SHUTTING UP and allowing your flesh to die and God’s love to shine through. But, seek God and through His strength it is possible.

Love ya,

Sweet Lady

Guard your Heart and Mind

I receive Tyler Perry emails this is a recent one...Enjoy!

If you can get this, this will change your life… I was out taking my morning run. I love how still it is when I’m running. I can hear clearly and really commune with God. I wanted to share this with you. It’s a lesson I had to learn.

One of the keys to success is to be able to guard your heart. Now, usually when someone says guard your heart they are talking about keeping yourself from heartbreak. Although that is important (as long as you don’t go overboard... but that’s another conversation) that isn’t what I’m talking about. When we are born into this world we enter with such a pure heart but as we grow older situations, circumstances and people tend to make us change. Now I know it is nearly impossible to keep a childlike innocence in our hearts all of our lives, especially after people have betrayed, lied, mistreated and downright been the devil. Trust me when I tell you, I have seen it all. I have been there big time. If you’re like me you’ve been there too. But if this is your situation I want you to know two very important things about those moments of heartbreak. Number one, learn the lesson in it. See how it will work together for your good, because it will. Once you do, it’s easier to forgive and move on. Secondly, and this is just as important as the first one, you must not let that person or people change your heart. What do I mean by that? Well, if you are a giver and someone you have given to misuses your gift, don’t stop giving… just give to someone else. If you are a person that loves people and someone you love hates you, don’t stop loving… love someone else. Eventually, you will find people who appreciate your kindness and your love. Remember this, lots of people have been conditioned to not be able to accept purity of heart. They can’t take it in. Most times it’s not even their fault. It’s just what has happened to them on their journey in life. But don’t let them turn you into one of them. There will be a lot of people in your life who will not appreciate your pureness of heart. If they hurt you don’t stop being you… just be you with someone else.

Why is this so important? Because God blesses you according to what is in your heart. If you are being kind, giving, loving and sharing because it is in your heart and you are not looking for anything in return, then that is a heart that God wants to bless. If you change who you are because you’ve been hurt, then you’ve changed the thing that God wants to bless you according to, and that is your heart. The people who hurt you are not worth that. You can lose everything that you have, but don’t let anybody change your heart.

Hope and Ask....

God has been speaking to me a lot recently about putting my hope in Him ALONE. Now he has been speaking to me through various outlets about not just hoping and thinking things will work out but Hoping and Asking Him. Recently, I read this portion of Joel and Victoria Osteen's blog...

It's not enough to just think about it. It's not enough to just hope for it. Something supernatural happens when you ask. It puts a demand on your faith. When you ask, God releases His favor. When you ask, the angels go to work. When you ask, supernatural doors will begin to open. Ask in faith knowing that He hears you, and He is faithful. He will complete the good work He started in you!

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7, NIV).

So with that being said we must not just put our hope in Jesus but ask him for the things we are hoping for IF they align with His will.  He wants to communicate with us.

Love ya,

Have a great weekend!

Endings before beginnings

Sharing my thoughts...Not sure if its poetry but...

It's like we end before we begin
Like our time is never well spent

Like night is before day even begins
Like desert and no entree
It just ends before it begins

Like a climax with no intercourse
Like credits with no previews
It just ends before it begins

Just to b without  the worries a new day brings just to b in your arms loving,  appreciating and captivated by each moment spent.

He is.....

So as of this past Sunday I decided to get a new tattoo. At first, I wanted Yahweh, which is God in Hebrew. Then I changed my mind. Noooo, I thought. I should get my fav scriputre, Hebrews 12:11. Then tonight in my quiet time...

As I was drawn to read Exodus 3:1. I devoted a portion of my quiet time to being Humble. This scripture tells the story of Moses being a sheperd and how God used this experience to humble him. I began reading the footnotes in my Life Application Bible. I came down to verses 13-15 which states:

"God called himself I AM, a name describing his eternal power and unchangeable character." That alone excites me! He never changes! Life is all about change and learning to adapt from the things and people that will always change, yet we must still grow and remain humble and keep Him first. So when life gets a little unstable and things and people began to change, I will always be reminded that He IS!

God Opposes the proud but favors the Humble...

I woke up this morning realizing that my weekend did not begin as I had planned. God spoke shortly after and said..."I wanted you to spend this weekend with me." Okay God. A weekend of quiet time with just Him and I it is.

Have a great weekend.

Thoughts: Having you here....

So I am beginning to write some of my thoughts down on my notepad in my IPhone...I am SUCH a daydreamer so you can imagine the thoughts and dreams that I have on a daily basis. So here is a recent one...

Having you here....

Pushes me
Motivates me
Encourages me
Makes my heart smile
Gives me butterflies
Makes me want to love more
Makes my light shine a lil bit brighter
Having u here again is a dream that I never wanna wake up from again.

Sometimes...

Sometimes we may be on opposite ends of the play ground but at least we are on the same playground.

Sometimes in life we may be on two different pages with someone but at least you're in the same book.

He is indeed good..

God put this verse in my spirit this morning during my quiet time...

11-13"I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd puts the sheep before himself, sacrifices himself if necessary. A hired man is not a real shepherd. The sheep mean nothing to him. He sees a wolf come and runs for it, leaving the sheep to be ravaged and scattered by the wolf. He's only in it for the money. The sheep don't matter to him.

Happy Friday!

All of our heart

How many of us have asked God to allow us to grow? Ya know, "Make me stronger in you Lord", " I desire to be closer to you Lord”, “Align my life to your will God...but when the time comes for us to grow in Him and we struggle or even sometimes give up. I know I have been there. You are just sick and tired of the same ole struggle right? Me too. I am there right now. But we must press on. When we ask God to allow us to grow and mature in Him, we should expect to be hit up with tests and trials. Those make us stronger. For example I was tested the other night BIG TIME... directly after church (I know I am not the only one this happens to)

After coming home I got in bed to relax. But, then I received a text from someone twelve or more hours after I had texted them. So I get extremely upset because when I text them back they act as if I had just texted them a few minutes prior and it’s no big deal. In church, that particular night Bishop Daniel Robertson had preached a sermon title called "My foundation". In this sermon, he explained the importance of God being our foundation and that we should not LOVE anyone more than God. He then went on to say that, many times we as individuals will say "I love that person with all of my heart". WRONG! We should not love anyone with all of our heart except GOD! Because when the people in our life are not consistent, considerate or just do not live up to our standards/expectations we will not fall apart in disappointment. However, we can always depend on GOD to go over and beyond any of our little standards. In the middle of my anger, I heard a still small voice say...This is a test. My response, if I can be real was, "BUT I AM PISSED OFF, WHY CANT I BE MAD? But then I realized I had put my hope and expectancy in the wrong person. I depend on GOD not MAN. Let’s be honest sometimes we get mad at God and He never denies us and is always there for us, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365! Can you say that for all of your friends and family? (SN: I need to blog on God tugging on your spirit and your flesh)

I say all of this to say that, we must be ready for the tests that come in our growing season. That means staying grounded in the word of God and spending a lot of time with God everyday! We will then be ready with what we have studied and heard from God during our quiet time.

Blessings,

Ciera

A Selfish Spirit

When God is providing there is no need for selfishness...When the spirit is disconnected from God there is no realtionship with him to modify and sometimes ones attitude will become that of  "I have to see about me"- Noel Jones

Recognize when someone or something in your life is not connected with the spirit of God. Respond in God's Love but know your limits.

P.S. I am going to start blogging more again. Making it a point to post at least one blog a week. Every Sunday.

Hope

It can keep you going when nothing else seems to be working out. Always remember that our hope should be in Christ alone. Not someone or something else because that person or thing will always disappoint you. But, God is loving, kind and always consistently there for you. He will never let you down. So today I encourage you to put your hope in God. Expect great things because He won't fail you.

Hope and Expectation

I have learned that things will not always go how you may hope expect. One thing that doesnt change is God. He is the same yesterday, today and forever more. Since you can not change people or how they feel about things, give it to the one person that can change your situation, the people in it or give you the peace to deal with it. Recently, I went through something very dificult but I know the peace that I have is not my own. Today has been especially hard but I continue to remind myself of Phillipians 4:13.

The Cleaner

So this is gonna be quick. But, last night I was cleaning my apartment and God spoke to me so loud in clear yet, so randomly. Love Him! :) I had sprayed the bath tub with cleaner to let it sit for about 30 mins, maybe longer. ( I had forgotten about it and went to rest on my bed lol) When I came back to clean it, the tub was so much easier to clean because I had waited for the cleaner to take its course. God spoke right there. He said, "I am the cleaner. Just wait and REST as you did and let me do my thing that way when it's time for you to step in, I would have made things so much easier for you" WOW right!?! God is just so amazing! Have a great weekend GALS AND GIRLS! :)

Controling Negative Thinking

Over the past few months it has been somewhat difficult to control my thoughts. My thoughts have been all over the place. They have been consumed with a lot of negativity. Maybe its what/who I am surrounding myself with?? I love being around people who have consistent positive attitudes. They are like Paul who had learned to be consistent no matter what life threw at him. (Philippians 4:11) He understood that life is full of change and that as adults we have to learn to deal with it. Otherwise life will steal your joy. I am trying to stay grounded in the word. I have been meditating on scriptures concerning the mind, wisdom, operating in the spirit and not the flesh and making right choices. This has helped me so much thus far.  I have noticed now that when negative thoughts now come into my mind, Gods word automatically pops into my spirit.

Recently, I visited my coworkers church, Mt. Gilead in Richmond Va. Their Bishop, Dr. Daniel Robertson Jr. taught a sermon entitled “God desires for us to enjoy life”   God doesn’t want to us to be frustrated, confused or sad. He desires the complete opposite. Bishop Robertson stated,  “If the enemy can control your mind he can control your emotions.” He has an affirmation that he repeats often which is “Think, Believe and Speak ONLY Abundance” I love it! I have to learn that when my thoughts do not align with what God’s word says that is when I need to speak the opposite. Eventually, the negativity will be dumped and my thought process with be consumed with positivity again.

We have to become aware that we have full control over what we think. So don’t let thoughts pop into your mind and feel required to dwell on them. Speak back to them with positivity and God’s word. It may take more than one time of doing this to be healed in this area. ( Oh and you better believe that the devil will try to creep back in with negative thoughts you must be ready through by staying grounded even once the test has been passed and you have been healed)  It may take several. You may be like Naaman who had to be dipped in the water seven times to become healed. But the word says that once he was healed of his disease his skin was a healthy as the skin of a young child. (2 Kings 5)  You may have to be dipped several times to be freed of whatever it is your are going through but lean on Gods word and STAND firm. We must make up in our minds that we will past the test so that we can embark on the next level of spiritual growth that God has for us.

I hope and pray this blesses someone. I am going to post even though there are probably errors. I will proofread tomorrow.

"It's not a blessing until it is spoken"

My primary love language is words of affirmation. So today while reading Victoria Osteen's blog this portion shouted out to me! Enjoy! ;)

It's easy to take the people closest to us for granted. "I don't need to say anything to them," you might say. "They know I love them. She knows I think she is beautiful. He knows I think he is a great." Maybe so, but a blessing is not a blessing until it is spoken. When you release those positive, faith-filled words of affirmation, they will have a positive effect in the lives of the people you love. I am convinced that when we put family first, when we take the time and make the effort to be good to our family members and give them our best, then all the other relationships in our lives will improve as well.

Remember, the people in your inner circle not only want your approval—they need it. Life and death is in the power of your tongue, and the seed you sow will produce a harvest for your own future. Speak words of faith and victory into your loved ones and set yourself up for a harvest of victory in your own future.

Sweet lady!

Agenda!

Hey yall!
It’s been a while. I have had a crazy few months but I am back at it! Soooo How is everyone? Great I hope!  J Anywho, on to the topic at hand…..
Planning! I am a major planner. I like things to happen just how I envisioned and no different. Well a lil special surprise here and there doesn’t hurt! I LOVE surprises! They are the best! Often times I find myself thinking and planning for events, trips, meetings, mani/pedi days or just me time that may be days, weeks , months or even years away. Recently some of my planning has resulted in worrying. NO BUENO! I have God, why worry right!?!  So because of that I had come up with this thought that I need to stop planning and just let things happen. Easy right? Not for a control freak. Well today while having some quiet time, I read this in my study bible,

“We can make plans but the lord determines our steps. Proverbs 16:9 (NLT)”
“We can make our own plans but the Lord gives the right answers Proverbs 16:1 (NLT
In the notes at the bottom of my Life Application Bible it explains the following…
“This verse can be understood to mean that the final outcome of the plans we make is in God’s hand. If this is so why make plans? In doing God’s will, there must be partnership between our efforts and God’s control. He wants us to use our minds to seek the advice of others and to plan. Nevertheless, the results are up to him. Planning then helps us act God’s way. As you live for Him, ask for guidance as you plan and then act on your plan as you trust Him”
So today I learned that it is ok to plan but I must allow the results of what I have planned to be totally up to God and to be CONTENT when they don’t add up to the results I had envisioned. I know that with God all things will work together for my good. That means I must go through some pain, discomfort, uneasiness and even loneliness.  But those FEELING are only for a season and God has a harvest on the other side of those. So I must discipline myself to push through my emotional fits (Yes, we all have them from time to time) and keep my eyes fixed on God and then one day I will look around and all that I have planned will be added unto me! THANK YOU GOD for speaking to my spirit today!!

Love ya,

Sweet Lady J

Draw Close to God

James 4:1-10

What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you? You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.

You adulterers![a] Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. What do you think the Scriptures mean when they say that the spirit God has placed within us is filled with envy?[b] But he gives us even more grace to stand against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say,

“God opposes the proud
    but favors the humble.”

So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.

I will be meditating on this this week and wanted to share with you!

Adpating equals peace and unity......

Seeds for a Harvest of Peace and Unity

This post comes from Pastor Joel Osteen's wife, Victoria Osteen. Her website is http://www.victoriaosteen.com/. I think this came at perfect timing as I am currently reading, "The 5 Love Languages" By, Gary Chapman. It's a great book and I think it's a MUST read. All of our communications styles can need a lil bit of altering from time to time. This will allow us to adapt to the people around us to form the best relationships possible. Please enjoy this post.

March 30, 2012

Not long ago, Joel and I were visiting with some friends in California, and I began sharing a funny story about something that had happened to us during our travels. One of our friends started laughing and nodding his head just as I was getting into the good part, so I paused and asked, "Have you heard this story before?"

"Yes," he answered, "three minutes ago when Joel told it. But please continue because your version is much funnier. Joel didn't share all of those details with us!"

Now, it's no secret that men and women communicate differently, and Joel and I are no exception. It doesn't mean that one of us is better than the other; it simply means that we're wired differently. So we have to learn how to adapt to one another's communication style. Over the years, I've learned that Joel doesn't like hearing every single detail of a story even though I do. I want to know exactly what was said, who said it, how they said it, and what they were wearing! That's why it can take me fifteen minutes to tell a story that Joel can tell in two minutes flat! Knowing this, I try not to tell him every detail, although it's not always that easy.

One time, I was enthusiastically telling Joel something that I thought was important, and just as I was getting to the good part, I noticed his eyes beginning to glaze over. So I began talking faster and faster, attempting to get the whole story out before I "lost him," but it didn't do any good. Finally I said, "You don't want to hear all of this, do you?"

It wasn't what he said; it was how he looked. I could tell by his body language that I lost him after the first three minutes. At first I got frustrated and thought, I am not telling him anything anymore! But of course, that didn't last. So I just made the necessary adjustments in my communication with him, and now I try to tell him only the most important details of the story. (You and I know he's missing the real juicy parts!) When I see his eyes start glazing over, I don't get upset. It's just my clue that he is going into "detail overload," so I adapt to his communication style.

Maybe you're reading this and thinking, "Victoria, why would you change yourself in order to please Joel?"

The truth is that I'm not changing who I am; I'm changing the way I communicate so I can have a better relationship with my husband. I want Joel to hear me, so I adapt to the way he listens best. It is good for me and good for him.

What can you do to adapt your communication style to others? When you put others first, you are sowing good seeds that will produce a harvest of peace and unity in the relationships in your life!

"Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another" (Romans 12:10, NKJV).

Always ready to do what is good!

Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good. 2 They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone. (Titus 3:1-2)

Hello Everyone! This has been an area that I have been dealing with for a few weeks now. Doing good! I believe that I am a good person at heart, we all are. It's just the choice that we make can sometimes be evil and disobedient to what God has spoken to us about. Sometimes, God will speak to me to do something nice and sincere for a person or just offer a kind and encouraging word and I get discouraged. Negative thoughts creep into my mind.(we have to stay on top of our thoughts, this is not an area that we can allow to control us) Some thoughts that would come to mind are, why should I do this or say this to this person, they will never be appreciative of my gesture. Maybe they won't respond the way I expect or if at all.

For example, when we pray for people and want to see a change in them or our situation, encourage them! We can not change them, but God can. So as God does his work in them, encourage them along the way. It will make them desire the change that God is working on with-in them more and more. Remember, often times when we pray for change in someone else or a situation, God will first work a change in us! He is stretching us to deal with the situation.  Don't stop encouraging them because you don't see change or the person isn't responded the way you imagined right away, they may fight against it, haven't you done this before?! Be like Christ,  do not judge, learn to forgive and be compassionate and loving to others. Love others for who they are in that moment! They are a work in progress just like you and me!

So, no matter what the outcome you have to sow good seeds. Do good unto others ALWAYS. "Do the right thing when you don't feel like  it , those are the times of growth and really see God work"- Joyce Meyer!

Be Inspired,

Sweet Lady! :)

Peacefulness

This post comes via my devotional this morning from Joyce Meyer and I wanted to share it with you. This devotional can be found at  http://www.joycemeyer.org/Articles/Devotional.aspx

The Peaceful Mind

by Joyce Meyer - posted February 15, 2012

You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. —Isaiah 26:3

What is it about nighttime that makes us more vulnerable to satanic attack? Is it because daylight is gone and it’s dark? Is there some kind of association between evil and the dark hours of night? We are usually able to cope with whatever happens to us during the day, but sometimes it’s a different story at night.
My theory is that by evening, most of us are tired and weary, and we just want to lie down, close our eyes, and drift into peaceful sleep. That is one of Satan’s favorite times to engage us in the battle for our minds. He knows that when we are exhausted and sleepy, we are not as resistant to his attacks. And just as we are about to drop off to sleep, he makes his move.

If we recognize that we’re more susceptible to the attack of the enemy at night, we can take steps to be better prepared to stand against him.

Some of my friends tell me that they find it helps to meditate on scriptures such as Philippians 4:8, which tells us to think on good things—things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and excellent. Or they claim the promise of Isaiah 26:3: “You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You. . . .”

These words from the Bible enable us to remain vigilant even in the dark hours of night. By using the Word of God, we can defeat every onslaught of the enemy—even in our weakest hours.
But if we have not armed ourselves with the Word and spent some time in prayer, we will fall for Satan’s plan when he brings to mind some troublesome event of the day, and asks, “Why did you say that? How could you have been so insensitive?”

He takes advantage of us when he knows we are weak and the most vulnerable to his influence. His goal is to disturb our thoughts and rob us of the peaceful rest that our bodies need. One of his tricks is to cause us to focus on the problems of the day, suggesting that we must immediately—in the middle of the night—determine the best way to settle the issue.

I experienced nights like this years ago, and I didn’t always win the battle. But as a mature Christian, I now know how to fight the good fight of faith. Here’s one thing I figured out a long time ago: It is not wise to make decisions in the middle of the night. There may be times when God demands an immediate surrender, and those are powerful moments in our lives. But most decisions can wait until the next day.
Perhaps we spoke hastily or didn’t respond kindly to someone’s need. The issues are often little things that we probably could have handled better. But as Satan wages his battle in the dark of night, those little things seem to take on importance and urgency—so much so that we believe we will never sleep unless we settle the issue immediately.

When Satan tries to pull that nighttime trick on me, I’ve learned to say, “I’ll deal with this issue in the morning, when the sun is shining. After I’ve rested, I can cope.” I’ve also learned that I can say, “Lord, I surrender this to You. Give me Your rest, Your peace, and help me to make the right decision in the morning.” That works for me!

All you need

Recently I asked God to remove me from a situation in my life, if it was not apart of His will. I have asked Him numerous times, yet I never received an answer until now! Yesterday when reading 2 Corinthians, I came across this scripture...

Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me." 2 Corinthians 12:8-9.

God has been pushing me to grow EVEN STRONGER through this situation. I have learned that I am not putting all of my trust in Him and I need to learn to DEPEND ON HIM and not give into my weaknesses. He is not going to remove me from the situation but He is giving me the grace to withstand it. When I cannot do anything else, I need to REST and STAND on his promises. I need to STOP trying to figure out things on my own! It never works anyhow! (smh at myself) That's when confusion comes into our lives through our mind (Our mind is cluttered with thoughts of different strategies of how we can figure out the unknown). God is not a God of confusion but of decency and order!

In those verses above, Paul is telling us that we should boast about our weakness because through them the power of Christ can work through us. Everyone of us can remember singing Jesus loves me in church as a child, remember this one line, They are WEAK but He is STRONG.

So when your weakness gets the best of you or u feel as though you are becoming frustrated  because you have done all you can, just Rest on His many promises and begin to sing that Hymn as reassurance that He loves you, this I know! ;)

Here are a couple Bible verses that I have been studying recently:

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. (Matthew 6:31-34 NLT)

Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. (James 1:2-4 MSG)

Stand the TEST of time!

I, James, am a slave of God and the Master Jesus, writing to the twelve tribes scattered to Kingdom Come: Hello! Faith Under Pressure Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. If you don't know what you're doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You'll get his help, and won't be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who "worry their prayers" are like wind-whipped waves. Don't think you're going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open. When down-and-outers get a break, cheer! And when the arrogant rich are brought down to size, cheer! Prosperity is as short-lived as a wildflower, so don't ever count on it. You know that as soon as the sun rises, pouring down its scorching heat, the flower withers. Its petals wilt and, before you know it, that beautiful face is a barren stem. Well, that's a picture of the "prosperous life." At the very moment everyone is looking on in admiration, it fades away to nothing. Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.Don't let anyone under pressure to give in to evil say, "God is trying to trip me up." God is impervious to evil, and puts evil in no one's way. The temptation to give in to evil comes from us and only us. We have no one to blame but the leering, seducing flare-up of our own lust. Lust gets pregnant, and has a baby: sin! Sin grows up to adulthood, and becomes a real killer. So, my very dear friends, don't get thrown off course. Every desirable and beneficial gift comes out of heaven. The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of Light. There is nothing deceitful in God, nothing two-faced, nothing fickle. He brought us to life using the true Word, showing us off as the crown of all his creatures. James 1:1-18 (MSG)

I will be meditating on this today and wanted to share! Dont give up! :)

Sweet Lady :)

Quiet Time!

Quiet time is so necessary. Recently, God allowed me to come across a new blog. The blog is www.heatherllindsey.blogspot.com, written by Heather Lindsey. As I was reading her blog, she continued to stress the importance of having quiet time with the God. This was something that God had been speaking to me for months about. I had fallen off over the past few months. Things have been semi-stressful the past few months, no fault but my own. I was/am trying to control things that no one but God can! I would wonder why things weren't changing because I was trying so hard! I mean really wrecking my brain with worry y'all! But that's the thing, with God I dont have to try. I can rest and be sure that He will fight my battles and go ahead of me and make everything work for my good! (Ephesians 14:14 and Romans 8:28.) That just excited me SO! He is so AMAZING to me! My eyes fill at his goodness! I am so thankful!

It is important to take time out during the day to spend in reflection. It gives God time to pour into you. When u are constantly busy, your mind can become filled with clutter. One thing Heather said in her blog post was that, when she would not have her quiet time she noticed she would become easily frustrated and she would often let her emotions control her. That was an Aha moment for me! lol

OK OK OK ....So, what do u do during this time you ask? I'm glad u asked...lol You can read, write in a journal, pray, draw, get a pedicure, go to a coffee shop, go to the library or whatever allows you to have serenity and release all of the worries from the day and just BE!

I have noticed such a difference in myself since beginning this and I encourage each of u, who may read this to set time aside for YOU and HIM! (Psalm 46:10)
